Family Birthdays

7th September 2009

It was the man of the house – DADDY’s birthday! That night, we went to Star Grill in Taipan for dinner. We tried their signature German sausages and German knuckles. It was really something different and it was GOOD :) The knuckle was HUGE! Even the 4 of us couldn’t finish them so we brought back to treat the family’s best friend – Bobo. :D

Then, as the family’s tradition, a cake ceremony at home :)

It was a lovely night.

A special day for my one and only baby boyfriend. This year, I didn’t had the time to plan any surprises like how i did last year (if you read it before :P) , so i decided to go simple. The plan was, go for a Romantic Comedy movie – The Ugly Truth, then karaoke at Redbox + (It was the 2nd time in my life), have a candle light dinner at Tarbush, Starhill and end it with a surprise cake ceremony at home.

BUT! Things change when the movie time didn’t go along with our plan. So plan B was, we went Redbox+ and bought the Hi-Tea package which obviously includes Hi-Tea (Buffet some more -_-), then we went for movies and head home for the cake ceremony. So basically, we save the cash from the expected expensive dinner! :)

Vroom Vroom in our bumble bee. We headed back to my place. I lied to him that my dad wants to talk to him since he’s already a big boy. Hahaha! He was shocked and scared (i’m sure) :P

But it turn out to be a very sweet and homey celebration for the 21 boyfriend.

Mid-Autumn Festival.
what I call, Mooncake Festival :)

I never miss playing lantern and eating mooncake on Mooncake Fest. My parents always say that i’m not a kid anymore. But I still love this traditional and will definitely bring it forward to my next generation as well. Teehee.

This year, I celebrated with my baby, again, at an empty huge field where I buried my pet bunny, Lolo and it was only the 2 of us. The stupid grass cutter or i shall name them more glamorous, public gardener decided not to cut the grasses and it was so tall at certain part. But that did not stop us from going there. We brought candles, lanterns, a bottle of coke, mooncake and pizza! Set ourselves down and started Mooncake Fest. Picnic.

We had to put candles all around us to shoo away mosquitoes. Lol

We spend our night eating, taking pictures and burning leaves. kekeke

15th October 2009

1 day before Deepavali, 3 days before my 18th birthday, I decided to do something about my hair and my bushy eye brows. I’m so bored of the same ol’ side parting long long long hair. So, I headed to APT (becuz i wanted to redeem a free haircut). I also decided to touch up on my hair colour since i come to a saloon bout once a year? Haha

So this was BEFORE

And AFTER! Voilaaaa~!

I wanted bangs for such a long long time, and now i finally did it!

I really love the bangs, I can sweep it to the side or let it down, I cut about 2.5 inch of the bottom and the colour was a Copper brown.

TODAY IS WAS MY 18TH BIRTHDAY! I am finally 18! I never take birthdays lightly. Some say, it’s just another day in all 365 days. To me, birthday is a special day because of who we are now. And also the day my mummy gone through those pain to pop me out! :D So we MUST celebrate with the family. So did I :)

This year, mummy promised to get me a special cake from Q Jelly.

Weeee~ It was a 5kg “18” birthday jelly cake on my 18th birthday on the 18th of October! It was SO beautiful

Of course, I never miss out the brother who was in Iowa. We webcam-ed throughout the whole celebration. :)

Making my wish.
But honestly, I was SO happy, I didn’t know what to wish. I was just closing my eyes and having so many things in my mind. So i made a really long one, and wished for everything I could think of! hahaha

Note my cheeks! I was SO HAPPY when my mom gave me a present. All this years my presents were usually AngPows or I’ll buy it with her or myself. I was really surprised and happy.

It was a JB watch! in PINK~! :D

Later then, we end everything with a photo session with my whole family which includes the lovely boyfriend.

After the family celebration, I quickly dolled up for my date in the evening. hehehe

And the boyfriend surprised me with a huge box on my seat that has this wooly fury dog I always wanted to put in his car and a baby cow holding a heart written “I LOVE YOU”. He also bought this neck cushion so that I can sleep every time i travel with him. Everything was so “awwwwwwwwww~”.

This time, we went to Sentidos Tapas, Starhill for dinner. Baby reserved a corner of 3 tables so that we can be just all by ourselves.

We had dinner, and I jokingly told him.

“Where’s my present? No cake one ah? Flowers le?” (lol)
He: “The plush toys i gave you not present ah? Why you so impatient one.”

Towards the end of our dinner, suddenly, a bold tune of saxophone was playing behind me and people were singing birthday song for me with a cake. I was….. :)

Baby ordered a cake from Q Jelly even before I did with my mom. He started planning for my birthday about a month ago. He’s the sweetest! The cake was delicious of course.

. . . and another empty wish. hahaha!

Then he took out this box. My mind was, you got to be kidding me.

This bracelet was the one I saw a month ago in a branded Sales in JW Marriott. It can be opened to put pictures, and at the back of it is a small little diamond.

He made me tear.
I was so touched by all the effort he made to make this birthday surprise work.

“I told you before baby, I want you to be the happiest girl on your 18th birthday”

He really did.

To wrap up everything, I was extremely happy on that day. I never felt this happy before. My family and baby made this day so special I will never forget it in my life. I love my family, I love you my baby.

Just right the next day was my beloved Mummy’s birthday! Cool ha. :)

We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp. Co, Sunway Pyramid for dinner. Mummy was very pleased with the place and the food. Then we came home, and, :D Cake ceremony! We had 2 cakes for her. One was from daddy and one was from my jelly cake shaped into a heart shape with the numbers by ME!

And that was ALL the birthdays we had. :)

Who knows what’s next for my 19th birthday? hahahahhaa!

Got this devil hair band on Merdeka eve on my way back from work along Jalan Bukit Bintang.

At first my mind was like, “Uh, who would wanna buy those?” (at first glance)

Then i walk pass this pub and saw a foreign lady wearing it and she looked devilish hot and cute!

So…….. i walked back a few steps to get one. Put ‘em on, with a surgical mask (H1N1 okay) and continue to walk to the monorail station. :D

I’m pretty out of date right now. Suppose to blog about everything tonight, but my pictures are not with me now. Just so you know,

After a long one weeek…..

FIRST, I want to say, Good Evening to any Ladies & Gentlemen from Ritz Carlton if you SO HAPPEN to drop by… :)

I have been in Housekeeping for a week now. Had my ONE day off on Saturday and i really spend it nicely with my family and Baby. It just feels so good to be with them since i started working!

And luckily, i have THIS note pad to keep my memories recorded. I carry it with me every time, along with my very reliable camera and phone. Till today, I had already cleaned the Hotel rooms, the Suite rooms, and the Holy Penthouse!

It looks gorgeous! But a hell of cleaning to do! –.- I don’t find the penthouse and suite rooms any special now. Hahaha! Its just like a nicely furnish house. I did get my hands on the grand piano~~ But i still like my baby grand at home! :P

We Ritz-ians are so lucky that we are in the same shifts, slight difference only, we had breakfast and lunch break together, we end shift and go home together, we practically see each other every single day! And sometimes we also go over to help each other, it can be fun at times! (right darl???) :D

Yesterday, all the KL people (except poor Ivan) gather in Pavilion to Buka with Syeqa. We called along the oh-so-cute Mr Chiang and i bear hug him when i saw him!

It sure feels good to have everyone sitting together, i don’t miss study, but i miss the life in college, the so professional uniforms, the crazy wacky jokes we laugh in class and.. and.. just everything BUT studies! :D

Check this out, I bought a cute T shirt from Tropicana City in a pet adoption charity booth. It says “Take me home” from the doggie’s leash connected to a house on the left of the Tee. Oh so cute!

Awww, it’s been FOREVER since i blog about my doggie right? Geee! See how adorable is BOBO the dog ~~~ He’s soon to be 5 this coming October. Yet so pampered!

Training in Ritz Carlton

17th Aug 2009 was my Orientation in Ritz Carlton. Finally after 6 months of study, i’m now out for training in a truly 5-Star hotel. Which means, I’m working now, for 4 months! :)

Mr. Royston, the Training Manager of RCKL gave us a warm welcome and went through the Ritz Carlton “tradition”. motto,aim,rules&regulations He also prepared breakfast and Hi-Tea for us!

That’s why according to my seniors, one who goes to RCKL for training will surely gain weight after they come back. D: I can see why now. *gulps*

I had my uniform measurement. And…….

HAHAHAHAHA! I know… shh. Diam. At least this uniform is better than the one in Vistana. This is the conservative French Maid okay. LOL

Today was my first day working a full 8 hours as a Room Attendant. I major in washroom today. Tiring! But with the help of my assigned senior, Amir, We cleaned 13 rooms, or more. All at the Club floor hey, Deluxe room yada yada.

It’s NOT easy.

And NO! The guys’ uniform doesn’t look like Bell Man’s uniform because Bell Man’s uniform has golden buttons from top to the bottom and golden design at the shoulder pad! pffffff!

After a long gone…

Miss me?

I’m back in action! Oh boy, how do i start this. I have TONS of things to spill!

First, i am now over Semester 2 and commencing Semester 3 in 10 hours! This semester is an Industrial Placement, fast right, i know. Time zaps! And I am stationed in Ritz Carlton KL for 4 months. Excited!! i can feel the challenge is heating up now.

Let’s rewind to what happened last month. We had our 2nd Cook Off, Wonderland restaurant. And i must say, Kitchen is so not in me. But we manage to pull things off, I’m glad its over! :D

Right after that, we had our Sem2 Finals for a week. Tiring! Total exhaustion.

The following Saturday of Final week, Baby and I joined Mr Alex at TAR College’s Cook Off. It was definitely a total different experience compare to ours.

And then! It was FINALLY my 1WEEK break! Awesome-ness…….

I went shopping for things i need for my IP, then my class went Genting for class trip! And here i am, finally blogging about everything!

Genting Trip was awesome! With Baby and the classmates, in a wonderful apartment in Awana…

Glace Restaurant 2009

It’s part of the syllabus that every student from YTL ICHM will have a “Cook-Off” as our finals assessment during 2nd semester.

What’s a “Cook-Off” you ask?
It’s where all students in a class start our own restaurant and run them for a day. So there will be the Service Team and Kitchen Team. We each take turn, therefore, two “Cook-Off” is held for the class.

The GOOD news is… outsiders are invited to come and dine with us. Considering it’s part of our learning progress, of course, you can’t expect us to be FINE DINING perfect. BUTTT! We will serve you at our best. :)

Last Saturday was our college’s Mid Term Party. The theme was Beauty & the Beast + masquerade.

Unfortunately my beast couldn’t make it last minute due to some emergency back at home. :( But I myself as one of the MTP Organizing Committee was running like nobody’s business that night. So i forgive you baby… :D
